Anthony Diehl is a professional Strongman, bodybuilder, Jiu Jitsu practitioner, and coach.

After lifting weights for many years, he got into Strongman when he was 27 years old. He tried heavy farmer carries with his friend, was terrible at it, and immediately knew he had to get better at this style of training. He started that weekend. Three months later, the owner of the garage gym where he worked out signed him up for a competition.

He was hooked. Over the course of the next eight years, he competed about 35 times. He earned his pro card in Strongman in 2019, and won America’s Strongest Man in 2020. Since then, he has moved into competitive bodybuilding, nutrition, and Jiu Jitsu.

Anthony started coaching about a year into his Strongman journey. He did lots of in-person coaching over the years but pivoted to entirely online in 2020 due to COVID shutdowns. Losing the ability to interact with clients face-to-face was challenging. He knew he had to find a way to retain that personal connection he valued so much.

Online coaching has been clunky in the past. Communicating through email and social media, uploading videos on YouTube, and sharing spreadsheets with clients worked, but this system was inconvenient and far from ideal. Anthony quickly realized this approach was complicated and—most importantly—wasn’t scalable. He was getting bogged down with the sheer volume of tasks he had to manually manage. It was robbing him of the personal touch he wanted to offer his clients.

For clients, everything is contained in a single app on their phones. They can see their upcoming workouts and nutrition check-ins, as well as any notes their coach has left for them, upload videos and pictures, and send messages all in one place. They receive notifications when their coach has left feedback for them and can view their workouts and see their programming laid out in a convenient way. This convenience makes training and communicating with their coach just that much easier, leading to better consistency and compliance.

Even transferring clients over to TurnKey Coach was an easy transition. Since we have a team whose only job is to make sure onboarding is a seamless process for coaches and clients, Anthony was able to make the switch for all 90 of his clients in only two days (thanks to his work ethic).
