WHAT’S NEW WITH TURNKEY COACH
Meet Your New
Assistant Coach
Assistant Coach reduces the time you spend managing programming logistics so you can stay focused on the coaching decisions that drive client progress.

Strength coaches spend countless hours managing programming logistics: adjusting workouts, updating training blocks, responding to client feedback, and making changes across dozens of calendars when a program evolves. These tasks are essential to coaching, but they multiply with each new client.
TurnKey Coach is developing Assistant Coach to reduce repetitive work and give you more time to focus on the part of coaching that actually moves your clients forward: programming, feedback, and decision-making.
Assistant Coach is a system built into TurnKey Coach, built to handle the repetitive parts of programming so you can focus on coaching decisions. The result is a workflow that integrates training history, coaching expertise, and client preferences while dramatically reducing the time you spend editing calendars, which is more time coaching clients and building your business.
In early internal testing, coaches were able to program entire training blocks hands-free. Instead of manually editing dozens of calendars, Assistant Coach handles the repetitive work while you stay focused on the decisions that matter.
Today, we’re introducing Assistant Coach inside TurnKey Coach. It’s available now in beta with staged rollout as we continue refining it alongside the coaches using it every day.
How Assistant Coach Works
Before a system like this can help with programming decisions, it needs to interact reliably with the systems coaches already use every day: client calendars, exercise libraries, and training data.
Assistant Coach is built directly into TurnKey Coach, so it can safely interact with those systems while you work.
That means it is not operating in isolation. It works directly with your athletes’ training history, your programming structure, and the tools you already use to run your coaching business. Every change it makes is grounded in the same context you use to make decisions.
Self-Service Setup and Configuration
Assistant Coach is designed to be simple to adopt. With this release, Assistant Coach can be provisioned and configured directly through self-service settings inside TurnKey Coach.
This means you can:
- Enable Assistant Coach from within your account
- Configure how it interacts with your programming workflow
- Manage access and behavior without manual setup from the TurnKey Coach team
In practice, that means you can start using Assistant Coach in minutes, rather than waiting for onboarding or technical setup.
Assistant Coach will be available across all TurnKey Coach plans, making this enhanced workflow accessible to coaches at every stage of their business.
A System That Understands Programming Data
Assistant Coach works because it understands the structure of your programming and combines your programming with TurnKey Coach’s exercise catalog and metrics interface. It keeps track of exercises, metrics, and training structures across your clients. So your ability to make decisions is not limited by your memory, no need to dig through past workouts or shift through notes.
This enables Assistant Coach to help with additional coaching tasks:
- Modifying workouts across multiple clients
- Adjusting programming blocks
- Analyzing training patterns
- Supporting you during program design
Instead of manually updating dozens of calendars when a program evolves, you can make a change once and apply it across your entire roster in seconds.
Smarter Context When Working Across Clients
Coaches often move quickly between multiple athletes while managing programming. Assistant Coach maintains context when switching between clients, keeping your actions tied to the correct athlete and training environment.
You can move quickly between clients, confident that changes are being applied to the right athlete every time.
Clearer Feedback and Safer Actions
Automation only works when you remain in control. Assistant Coach provides clear confirmations and human-readable responses that explain what changed and where, allowing you to review and confirm actions immediately.
Example: the system will provide clear explanations with details, such as dates or affected entries, when you direct it to remove or modify batches of workouts.
You get the speed of making changes across your roster without losing track of what was changed or where it was applied.
What’s Coming Next
Assistant Coach is already capable of handling key parts of your programming workflow today. This is the starting point. Over time, Assistant Coach will expand to support more advanced capabilities:
- Manage large programming changes across many clients
- Adjust training blocks
- Point out patterns in training data
- Inform programming decisions at scale
The goal is to give you a system that handles the work around your decisions—so you can scale your coaching without sacrificing quality.
